Providence B.J. Moore Announced as a 2020 Seattle CIO of the Year Finalist

The Seattle CIO ORBIE Awards announced today that B.J. Moore is a 2020 Seattle CIO of the Year finalist. On Friday, November 13 chief information officers from across the greater Seattle area were honored at a virtual awards breakfast for demonstrating excellence in technology leadership. The finalists were named in six categories: corporate, health care, public sector, global, large enterprise and enterprise.

B.J. is the executive vice president and chief information officer for Providence and oversees real estate and operations. He leads information services to support and enable Providence to achieve its vision of health for a better world. Following his leadership, the Providence information system team focuses on digital transformation defined by three pillars: simplify, modernize, and innovate.

This includes partnering with leading organizations in areas such as cloud computing and artificial intelligence. B.J has an extensive background in leading initiatives for digital transformation, enterprise could services, strategic planning, operational strategy and analysis, and guiding large-scale projects and teams.

“I’m honored to be recognized by the Seattle CIO Leadership Association and my peers in the Seattle area,” said B.J. “My team has done great work during a difficult year. The entire Providence family or organizations has shown leadership throughout the pandemic and I’m grateful to be acknowledged for my part.”
