How long can COVID-19 live on different surfaces?

There are a lot of questions about surfaces and what happens when we touch things like our food, masks and surfaces. Dr. Elizabeth Meade with Swedish Hospital joins KOMO News to answer questions on whether COVID-19 can live on different surfaces and what we need to know to protect ourselves.

“So, certainly the virus can live on surfaces for at least a few days depending on the surface. We know that much. I think it’s really important to understand that when we are using cloth masks in particular or gloves that we are wearing into public. That we take those on and off in the proper way and we clean them.”
