Early coronavirus patient survives to tell his story

Gregg Garfield was one of the earliest people to be diagnosed with coronavirus. He was given a 1 percent chance of survival, but now he is finally home and on the road to recovery. “I was 64 days in the hospital, 31 days in a coma,” he says. Providence Saint Joseph Medical Center doctors in Burbank notes that seeing him walk out to go home was “nothing short of a miracle.”
