RENTON, Wash. [May 7, 2026] – Providence, a not-for-profit health system serving the Western U.S., released its 2025 Philanthropy Gratitude Report, highlighting the health system’s philanthropic initiatives and fundraising efforts across its seven-state footprint. Gifts to Providence’s family of foundations totaled $499.3 million in 2025.

“Philanthropy helps us accelerate innovation. It provides capital investment, programmatic growth and stability for our caregivers and physicians. It helps bind our healing ministries deeper with the communities we serve by advancing exceptional care and easing the health journey for so many,” said Erik Wexler, president and CEO of Providence.

Donor investment advances our three priority pillars of care to support programs, people and innovations and transform the health of our communities:

  • Be the best place to give and receive care
  • Create the delivery model for the future
  • Drive focused innovation for positive change

The report includes numerous stories of the ways philanthropy is advancing exceptional care in our communities, including the groundbreaking of a new rural health center in Polson, Montana; the establishment of a new cardiovascular hub in Sonoma County, California; a significant clinical trial to validate a new cancer drug in Portland, Oregon; the building of a new patient tower in Seattle, Washington; innovative new technology in Spokane, Washington, and Burbank California; compassionate programs in Lubbock, Texas, and Everett, Washington; mobile health clinics in Southwest Washington and Southcentral Alaska; and caregiver development in Walla Walla, Washington, and Humboldt County, California.

Philanthropic efforts across the Providence family of organizations help respond to those most in need and complement Providence’s broader community investment and impact work, including its grantmaking, community benefit programs, health equity commitments, sustainability efforts, volunteerism and more.

Providence’s 2025 Philanthropy Gratitude Report shares donor impact highlights and our collective efforts to make lasting, meaningful impact on thousands of lives in the communities we serve. View the full report here.
