41 Providence ministries recognized for excellence

Core to Providence’s mission is our value of excellence. We set the highest standards for ourselves and our ministries, and Healthgrades independent unbiased evaluation reaffirms our confidence in our work, as we strive to improve the health and quality of life in our communities. Below are some of the 2020 Healthgrades highlights we are most excited about.

  • Over 210 specialities receive 5-star rating for excellent outcomes.
  • 77 specialities among the top 10% in the nation.
  • 17 service lines among the top 100 in the nation.

This analysis shows patients treated at hospitals receiving a 5-star rating have a lower risk of dying and a lower risk of experiencing one or more complications during a hospital stay than if they were treated at hospitals receiving a 1-star rating in that procedure or condition. This analysis reflects our commitment to compassionate, safe and reliable practices for the care of all.

Every year, Healthgrades evaluates hospital performance at nearly 4,500 hospitals nationwide for 32 of the most common inpatient procedures and conditions using Medicare data, and outcomes using all-payer data provided by 16 states. Most notably, for the fourth consecutive year, Providence Holy Cross Medical Center in Mission Hills, California is one of Healthgrades America 100 Best Hospitals for Critical Care, and the 5-star recipient for treatment of heart failure for 19 years in a row.
