Yoga uses controlled breathing, meditation, and a series of poses to improve the health of your body and your mind. Taking a live streaming yoga class or watching an instructional video a couple times a week while hunkering down due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic can help reduce stress, lower your anxiety, and improve your blood pressure. Just find a quiet place in your house, roll out the mat or towel, and let the stress reduction begin.

In short, yoga helps your heartHere’s how.

If you regularly take yoga classes, find out if the studio you visit or your instructor is offering live streaming classes during this period of sheltering in place. If not, there are many YouTube  instructional videos available to fit your level and preferred style of yoga practice.

Stay well, and keep washing your hands.
