Blood donation is considered an essential need and is allowed during the current shelter-in-place directive.

The American Red Cross is open for blood donations and is practicing social distancing and other safety guidelines to help contain the spread of COVID-19. Read more about their safety precautions here.

Individuals can schedule an appointment to give blood with the American Red Cross by visiting RedCrossBlood.org, using the Red Cross Blood Donor App or by calling 1-800-RED-CROSS.
