Suzanne Carte-Cocroft, CFRE, president of Providence Alaska Foundation and chief philanthropy officer, has accepted a role outside of Providence that provides new opportunities to serve and brings her closer to her family in the Lower 48.

Suzanne Carte-Cocroft Suzanne has supported Providence Alaska’s philanthropic efforts since 2000, when she joined us as a development officer and program director to lead giving programs for Children’s Miracle Network and our children’s hospital.

“For more than two decades, Suzanne built partnerships in our communities to advance the excellent, compassionate care Alaskans have come to expect from Providence close to home,” said Ella Goss, chief executive, Providence Alaska.

Because of these relationships, Providence and our community partners were able to build a new home for Alaska CARES, fund the development of pediatric hospice and palliative care, provide behavioral health in schools and start construction on a Crisis Stabilization Center. These are just a few examples of the countless projects that provide care for our community due to philanthropic support.

“The vision and commitment of Providence to serve the poor and vulnerable is a personal inspiration,” said Suzanne. “It has been an honor to serve the Mission in Alaska for the past 23 years, working with our incredibly caring and supportive donors throughout our state and beyond.”
