----------------------------------------------------

ANCHORAGE, Alaska – The drive-through COVID-19 testing site at 4115 Lake Otis Parkway will adjust services starting Tuesday, June 23. This service adjustment is part of the collaboration with the Municipality of Anchorage and the State of Alaska for the benefit of the community.

The site will focus on people with potential symptoms of COVID-19, travelers with state vouchers from the airport and people without symptoms who need tests to return to work. A provider order is no longer required and state travel testing vouchers are accepted.

The process for obtaining tests at the drive-through site will change. Instead of obtaining a provider referral, people should register online with their email at app.kelvin.care or in-person at the drive-through testing site. Testing is available 9 a.m.-6 p.m. Monday-Friday, and 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday-Sunday. Testing still involves collecting a swab from the nose or mouth, which is then sent to a lab for testing. People are contacted directly via email with results as soon as they are available. As required, positive results will continue to be reported to state Public Health for contact investigation.

For information on additional testing sites, the Alaska Department of Health & Social Services maintains a testing sites locator on its COVID-19 site. Providers ordering pre-procedure testing for patients can access tests through one of Providence’s testing sites in Anchorage, Kodiak, Seward and Valdez.
