Providence Health & Services is committed to provide innovative ways to take care of the communities we serve. Erin Rumelhart, director of Nursing and Quality at St. Joseph Medical Center in Polson, explains that one of the ways we do that in Western Montana is through the Telehospitalist program. "Telehospitalists are just the beginning of a whole new way to provide care to patients, regardless of where they are located," says Erin. "A patient, presenting either in the emergency room, directly admitted to the hospital, or at the Polson, Montana walk-in clinic, can be seen by a medial specialist via the Telehealth system - similar to Skype or FaceTime. Utilizing a Bluetooth stethoscope, he or she can even listen to your heartbeat" To find a Providence hospital or clinic near you, visit http://montana.providence.org
