Napa, Calif. (June 3, 2021) – Queen of the Valley Medical Center is excited to announce that Terry Wooten has been appointed as the new chief executive at Providence Queen of the Valley Medical Center in Napa, effective July 6. In his role, Wooten will be responsible for the hospital’s operational effectiveness and performance.

“I am excited about joining the team at the Queen and continuing the hospital’s great work to serve and meet the needs of the community,” said Wooten. “I’m also looking forward to relocating to the Napa Valley and meeting members of this resilient community.”

With more than 25 years’ experience within St. Joseph Health and Providence hospitals, he is a seasoned leader. For the last five years, he served as the operations leader for Providence Mission Hospital’s two campuses located in Southern California. Before that, Wooten was VP for clinical supply chain for the St. Joseph Health System Office, and earlier held a variety of roles at St. Joseph Hospital in Orange, California, including director of Business & Materials Resources, Surgical Services and Endoscopy. Wooten earned his master’s degree in healthcare administration from the University of Southern California.

“I believe Terry will be an outstanding addition to the Queen and the Napa community,” said Frank T. Beirne, Regional Chief Operating Officer, Northern California. “We are thrilled to welcome Terry to Northern California.”
