U.S. News and World Reports magazine is out with its list of best hospitals and for the second consecutive year, Kadlec Regional Medical Center has earned recognition as the top hospital in Central Washington. Each year, the publication evaluates the nation’s 6,000 hospital in a variety of quality and safety metrics.
In addition to being named Best Hospital in Central Washington, Kadlec is also a “High Performing” hospital in five categories:
- Heart Bypass Surgery
- Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm Repair
- Heart Failure
- COPD (Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease)
- Knee Replacement
According to information from the U.S. News & World Report, rankings are “based on several factors, including medical outcomes such as survival, patient experience, nurse staffing and more. Hospitals are ranked nationally in specialties from cancer to urology and rated in common procedures and conditions, such as heart bypass surgery, hip and knee replacement and COPD.
