Open House August 6
Providence Urgent Care will open August 9 at the Providence Southgate Medical Park, 1025 S. Second Ave., in the space once occupied by the Walla Walla General Hospital Emergency Department.
An open house for the Providence Southgate Medical Park will be held August 6, 5:30 - 7:30 p.m. Two buildings will be open: The future home of Providence Urgent Care, and the Providence Family Medicine building, at 1111 S. Second Ave. Family Medicine also now includes a satellite Providence Outpatient Rehabilitation clinic. After a short speech and blessing, refreshments will be served and tours offered. There also will be giveaway items at both buildings while supplies last.
Urgent Care patients can continue to receive care at the Chase Medical Complex location until the end of clinic hours August 8. The Chase location then will close, and the clinic will reopen the next morning at 8 a.m. at Providence Southgate Medical Park.
The move will increase Urgent Care’s number of exam rooms from eight at the current location, to 11 at Southgate. The extra rooms will allow providers to see more patients than is currently possible, which will help to reduce wait times.
Hours will expand to 8 a.m.-8 p.m. Monday through Friday; 8 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
The Southgate location also includes lots of parking, TVs in the exam rooms, more bathrooms, a spacious waiting area, a dedicated room for procedures and a casting room.
Imaging and lab services will also open on the Providence Southgate Medical Park to support Urgent Care and Family Medicine. Patients who need Saturday lab draws will continue to go to Urgent Care at its new location.
The opening of Urgent Care, Imaging and Lab are the first moves of major services to the Providence Southgate Medical Park this year. The move continues Providence’s expansion of services into the buildings it purchased from Adventist Health in March.
It has not yet been decided what services will move into the space previously occupied by Urgent Care in the Chase Medical Complex. Planning for other services at the Providence Southgate Medical Park is ongoing.
