Named one of Healthgrades America’s 100 Best Hospitals for Prostate Surgeries
Providence St. Joseph Hospital Orange has once again been recognized for exceptional quality and outcomes by Healthgrades, a national leader in hospital performance transparency.
Among this year’s distinctions, St. Joseph Hospital was named one of America’s 100 Best Hospitals for Prostate Surgeries™ for the second consecutive year (2025–2026), placing it among the top 10% of hospitals nationwide for surgical excellence.
The hospital also earned five-star ratings in Orthopedics, Vascular and Gastrointestinal specialties—including Hip Fracture Treatment (11 years in a row), Carotid Procedures (5 years in a row), and Gallbladder Removal Surgery.
“Our team’s commitment to clinical excellence and patient safety is at the heart of everything we do,” said Brian Helleland, Chief Executive, Providence St. Joseph Hospital. “These recognitions affirm the consistent, high-quality care our physicians, nurses and caregivers provide every day.”
Healthgrades evaluates risk-adjusted mortality and complication rates for more than 30 common conditions and procedures at roughly 4,500 hospitals nationwide to identify top-performing facilities. This year’s analysis underscores the critical impact of quality—if all hospitals performed at the level of five-star hospitals, an estimated 230,466 lives could have been saved and 156,797 complications avoided during the 2022–2024 study period.
