Recognizing Breast Cancer Awareness Month

October 10, 2025 Christina Harris

Providence Queen of the Valley Medical Center will shine a light on breast cancer by illuminating the front of the hospital in pink* from Oct. 13-18. We will also have pink-themed treats available for purchase in the cafeteria that week.

In addition, many members of our team will be wearing pink on Oct.17, in support of Wear Pink Day, and the FRESH food truck will be on campus that day from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Stop by for smoothies, juices and fruit treats and to learn from caregivers how to reduce your risk and the importance of early screenings from our cancer support services team.

Queen of the Valley cancer support services will also be on-site at the Oct. 18 Napa Farmer’s Market from 8 a.m. to noon, providing early detection and screening resources and information.

*We reuse our high efficiency lighting equipment each year, in line with our sustainability efforts, to make this possible at a very minimal cost.
