Providence Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital and Petaluma Valley Hospital have the deepest respect for our employees – we call them caregivers because they all play critical roles in providing high-quality, compassionate care for our patients.
Unfortunately, a union representing some of our non-clinical, facilities caregivers has decided to strike from Monday, Sept. 29, 2025 until Oct. 13, 2025, despite our best efforts to engage in purposeful dialogue at the bargaining table. We have proposed a very competitive package with meaningful contract enhancements and wage increases over a three-year contract.
We are disappointed that the union has chosen to strike instead of continuing to engage with us at the bargaining table.
The hospitals are well prepared for the strike and will maintain daily operations. The planned work stoppages will not affect the safe, high-quality care that our patients have come to expect from Providence Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital and Petaluma Valley Hospital.
