Providence Saint Joseph Medical Center Names Chief Administrative Officer

Providence Saint Joseph Medical Center has named Cindy Mahal, DNP, MS, RN, CNOR, its Chief Administrative Officer, effective Oct. 7. Mahal is a transformational leader with more than 20 years of experience in healthcare operations and nursing leadership. 

In her most recent role as interim vice president of operations at Advocate Health Lutheran General Hospital in Illinois, she played a pivotal role in driving operational excellence across acute and ambulatory sites, consistently ensuring that services met the needs of patients, physicians and staff alike. She has held a variety of leadership roles, including vice president of surgical services at two of Advocate Health Care’s largest hospitals.

Mahal earned a Doctor of Nursing Practice from Chamberlain College of Nursing and a Master of Science in Health Administration from the University of St. Francis in Joliet, Ill. 

She brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to this newly created position at Providence Saint Joseph Medical Center where she will be responsible for the day-to-day operational leadership.
