For 25 years, Providence Multiple Sclerosis Center has helped people living with MS find new treatment options and hope for the future.

Stanley Cohan, M.D., founded the center and dedicated his career to improving MS treatment through patient care and research. For Phillip Rosebrook, who transferred his care to Dr. Cohan in 2009, that dedication was life-changing.

"My kids know Dr. Cohan as the doctor who kept me out of a wheelchair or a walker," Phillip says. "And it changed my life and it changed my family's life."

Treatment that continues to evolve

Today, people with relapsing MS have more treatment options than ever.

"Currently, we have over 20 treatments for people with the relapsing form of multiple sclerosis," says Kyle Smoot, M.D., a neurologist at Providence Multiple Sclerosis Center.

Although Dr. Cohan passed away in July, his commitment to advancing MS care continues through the team he helped build.

"Dr. Cohan set a really high bar, but he's built a really deep bench,” Phillip says. “And there's a lot of great people on this team."
