Providence Cedars-Sinai Tarzana Medical Center has been nationally recognized by the American Heart Association (AHA) with the Get With The Guidelines® – Stroke Gold Plus award for its commitment to delivering high-quality stroke and Type 2 diabetes care through the consistent use of evidence-based treatment guidelines.

“This is a testament to the expertise and compassion our caregivers and physicians bring every day,” said Nick Lymberopoulos, chief executive of Providence Cedars-Sinai Tarzana Medical Center. “Their commitment to evidence-based care helps ensure our patients receive the highest quality care when they need it most.”

Stroke is a leading cause of death and disability in the U.S., making early recognition and timely treatment critical.

In addition to the Get With The Guidelines® – Stroke Gold Plus quality achievement award, Providence Cedars-Sinai Tarzana received the following American Heart Association awards:

  • Target: StrokeSMHonor Roll Elite Plus award for meeting specific criteria that reduce the time between an eligible patient’s arrival at the hospital and treatment with thrombolytic therapy.
  • Target: Type 2 DiabetesTM Honor Roll award, which aims to ensure patients with Type 2 diabetes, who might be at higher risk for complications, receive the most up-to-date, evidence-based care when hospitalized due to stroke.

The Get With The Guidelines program helps ensure patients receive care aligned with the most current evidence-based recommendations, ultimately improving outcomes and quality of care.

As Primary Stroke Center, Providence Cedars-Sinai Tarzana provides advanced stroke care from diagnosis through recovery.
