Healdsburg Hospital recognized in Substance Use Disorder Honor Roll program

October 30, 2025

Congratulations to Healdsburg Hospital for being recognized for Excellent Progress in Cal Hospital Compare's SUD Honor Roll program!

Over the past six years, Cal Hospital Compare has acknowledged hospitals for their advancements in identifying and treating patients with opioid use disorder (OUD). Recently, they have expanded their focus to highlight hospitals making significant progress in the broader scope of substance use disorder (SUD) treatment.

In 2025, a total of 133 hospitals across California voluntarily reported their efforts and achievements in SUD care. This includes implementing safe and effective opioid use practices, identifying and treating patients with SUD, employing harm reduction strategies, taking steps to reduce stigma and involving patients and families actively in the decision-making process.

HH earned an "Excellent Progress" recognition in this year's SUD Honor Roll program. This accolade underscores our commitment to adopting and scaling appropriate opioid prescribing guidelines, enhancing treatments for opioid use disorder (OUD) and alcohol use disorder (AUD) and applying various harm reduction strategies across multiple service lines. These efforts collectively aim to diminish both the incidence and risks associated with substance misuse.

Excellent work, HH caregivers!
