Today, Providence Cedars-Sinai Tarzana Medical Center announced the introduction of the AngelEye Health CameraSystem™ an innovative new technology in our neonatal intensive care unit (NICU).
The AngelEye Health CameraSystem™ was carefully selected to bridge the gap between families and their newborns undergoing critical care, regardless of distance. Placed at the baby's bedside, these state-of-the-art cameras allow loved ones to live-stream video of their infants anytime, anywhere and on any device. Through a secure online portal, parents can now watch over their little ones and receive one way patient updates from our clinical staff. This innovative system will significantly reduce stress and anxiety for parents, while also fostering bonding opportunities with their child. By enabling better communication between caregivers and families, this camera system will enhance the overall experience for everyone involved.
The new camera system offers additional features that promote patient engagement like options for breast milk management, online patient education resources and PatientConnect ― a platform that enables caregivers to provide parents updates on their baby’s progress in the form of text messages, photos and recorded videos.
This transformative addition to PCSTMC’s NICU represents the medical center’s unwavering commitment to both medical excellence and compassionate family-centered care. By providing families with enhanced access and support, we are empowering them to actively participate in their newborn's care and well-being.
