U.S. News & World Report announced its prestigious Best Hospitals rankings and ratings this week. The annual Best Hospitals rankings and ratings, now in their 33rd year, are designed to assist patients and their doctors in making informed decisions about where to receive quality care for challenging health conditions or elective procedures.
Of approximately 415 hospitals across California, Providence Little Company of Mary Medical Center Torrance ranked at No. 15 in the L.A. Metro Area and No. 26 in state. In addition, Providence Little Company of Mary Medical Center San Pedro earned a national ranking, at No. 47, for acute rehabilitation. Providence Little Company of Mary Medical Center Torrance received “high performing” accolades for two specialties and procedures, meaning they performed among the top 10% across the U.S. These included: neurology/neurosurgery, and orthopedics. They also received “high performing” marks in eleven other procedures which included: aortic valve surgery, back surgery, COPD, colon cancer surgery, diabetes, heart attack, heart failure, kidney failure, pneumonia, prostate surgery and stroke.
