Dr. Diaz Speaks with U.S. News and World Report about Self-Quarantine

In an interview with U.S. News and World Report Dr. George Diaz, chief of infectious diseases at Providence Regional Medical Center Everett explains what self-quarantine is. “Quarantine in general means the separation of a person or group of people, who is reasonably believed to have been exposed to a communicable disease but not yet symptomatic.”

He also says that in cases of COVID-19, quarantine is for 14 days from the last date of exposure. By moving potentially exposed people from others, we can prevent the possible spread.
