Since our founding, Providence has closely partnered with local organizations to address the most pressing needs in the Inland Northwest.   • YMCA Healthy Kids Day, Friday, June 9, 2023: Healthy Kids Day® is the Y’s national initiative to improve the health and well-being of kids and families. For over 30 years, the YMCA has hosted this free community event aimed to inspire kids and families to keep their minds and bodies active throughout the summer months and beyond. This event is free and open to the public. Learn more. 

  • Riverfront Moves Free Spring/Summer Fitness Series: Held in partnership with local health and fitness businesses and Providence this free fitness series offers exercise classes for all ages and fitness levels throughout the spring and summer. Learn more. 

  • Spokane Pride Parade & Festival, Friday and Saturday, June 9 -10, 2023: Spokane Pride is committed to developing Pride experiences that are welcoming, engaging, and accessible for ALL people of all identities and experiences. Learn more about the Spokane Pride Parade & Festival. 

  • Juneteenth Weekend Celebration of Culture, Friday - Sunday, June 16 - 18, 2023:  Join the Inland Northwest Juneteenth Coalition and Providence for the  12th Annual Juneteenth Celebration Weekend full of cultural appreciation, while cultivating, educating, and celebrating Juneteenth African American history. Learn more. 

  • World Refugee Day, Saturday, June 17 from 11 a.m. - 3 p.m.: Come celebrate with the Spokane World Refugee Day Planning Committee and Providence at the Annual World Refugee Day event on Saturday, June 17 from 11 a.m. - 3 p.m. at Nevada Playfield at Garry Middle School, 725 E. Joseph Ave., Spokane, WA 99208. There will be traditional performances from around the world, a cultural marketplace, a community resource fair, a citizenship ceremony, and food from Feast World Kitchen!   • Spokane Valley Farmers Market, Friday's 4 - 8 p.m. I June 2 - Sept. 15:  Join us at our 5th Annual Spokane Valley Farmers Market at Center Place, 2426 N. Discovery Pl., Spokane Valley, WA 99216. This is a free event with free parking. Learn more. 

  • Make a Splash Free Pool PartiesFriday's 6:30 - 8:30 p.m. | July 21 & Aug 4: Join us this summer for two FREE community pool parties hosted by Spokane Parks Foundation. All are welcome, and we want to fill up the pool! Kids and families are invited to cool off in the pool, enjoy free hot dogs and other treats, meet the Spokane Mounted Patrol volunteers and their horses, grab a balloon animal from Vastra the Clown, and much more.
