Covenant Health and Lubbock Impact Serve the Most Vulnerable Together For more than a decade, Covenant Health has partnered with Lubbock Impact to support individuals and families facing some of the most complex challenges in our community. Together, this collaboration reflects Providence's commitment to serve the poor and vulnerable with compassion, dignity, and expanded access to care. Covenant caregivers contribute through clinical collaboration, volunteer service, and program support—helping extend critical resources to those who might otherwise go without essential services. In 2025, Covenant Health supported Lubbock Impact's Hypertension, Obesity, and Diabetes (HOD) Project, which provides care and health education for uninsured adults. By addressing chronic conditions that often go untreated, the program helps individuals better manage their health and reduce the risk of preventable complications. Covenant also contributed medical and dental supplies and equipment, further strengthening Lubbock Impact's ability to serve patients across the community. Volunteerism remains a cornerstone of the partnership. Leaders and caregivers from Covenant Medical Group regularly serve alongside Lubbock Impact staff—preparing meals, supporting the clothing closet, and assisting with outreach efforts that provide food, clothing, and other basic necessities. Leadership engagement has also deepened the collaboration. In 2025, a Covenant Medical Group leader served as Chair of the Lubbock Impact Board of Directors, helping guide the organization through a season of growth and expansion. This partnership also played a key role in the development of the Foundations of Healing Clinic, a free clinic designed to expand access to care for underserved individuals. Covenant caregivers supported its launch through leadership, volunteerism, and equipment donations. Together, Covenant Health and Lubbock Impact continue to bridge healthcare, faith, and community—ensuring that those facing hardship are met with compassion, dignity, and hope. During the development of the Foundations of Healing Clinic, Lubbock Impact received a deeply personal gift from Sister Marian of the Sisters of St. Joseph of Orange, a founding congregation of Providence. After the passing of her mother and the sale of her family home, Sister Marian prayerfully considered how to steward the inheritance she received. Guided by her lifelong commitment to serving others, she chose to personally support the healing work taking place through Lubbock Impact and the new clinic. During a recent visit to Lubbock, Sister Marian and Sister Christine toured the nearly completed clinic and offered a prayer of blessing over the space and the ministry it will provide. While Sister Marian's contribution was made personally and not on behalf of Covenant Health, the moment reflected the shared mission that connects Providence ministries and community partners in caring for those most in need.
