To better serve rural communities, Covenant also added a staffed ambulance unit at Covenant Plainview, expanding emergency response capacity for patients and hospitals across the region. New EMT-Basic Education Program Covenant Ambulance launched its first-ever EMT-Basic education program, graduating six new EMTs and strengthening the future EMS workforce in the region. Wheelchair Transport Service A new wheelchair van service, operating 12 hours daily, provides transportation for patients who need assistance getting to appointments but do not require an ambulance—serving approximately 1,000 patients annually. In-House EMS Dispatch A dedicated 24/7 dispatch center now ensures the right ambulance reaches the right place quickly and efficiently. Community Education Expanded outreach now offers CPR and Stop-the-Bleed training for community members and organizations across the region.
