Community Involvement
Community Health Fair in San Pedro
Providence Little Company of Mar y Medical Center San Pedro
par tnered with the San Pedro Chamber of Commerce and the
Cabrillo Aquarium to hold its first community health fair titled
"San Pedro Strong and Healthy."
We provided the community with information on stroke, sepsis
awareness, rehabilitation and behavioral/mental health ser vices,
our Providence Medical Associates physician par tners, and
information on our bariatric program. Our Community Health
Investment team was also present, assisting with vaccinations
for the community.
We were glad to have the
suppor t and par ticipation of
several government officials,
including: Congresswoman
Nanette Barragan, Supervisor
Janice Hahn, and Assembly
member Patrick O'Donnell.
Three of our physicians,
Crescenzo Pisano, MD,
Malgorzata Stanczyk, MD,
and Nathanial Leong, MD
gave educational talks to the
community.
Over 500 community residents
attended the health fair. We are
committed to making the health
fair an annual event for our
San Pedro Community.
