18 strengthen the Core Addressing Racism, Diversity, and Inclusion Diversity and inclusion are an important focus for the Providence St. Joseph's Health System. The Southern California Region has developed a SoCal Black Caregiver Resource Group and a Diversity and Inclusion Council, both of which kicked off in July 2020. The focus of the council is to identify and eliminate discrimination in our ministries, ensure equal pay and advancement for our minority caregivers and leaders. Both committees include front-line caregivers. We will continue to provide updates on the committee's work and through the Chief Executive Town Halls. Much of our community outreach at Providence Little Company of Mar y Medical Centers San Pedro and Torrance has focused on these minority populations and at-risk groups. We will continue to work with our community leaders to ensure we are supporting this important ongoing work. Awards Newsweek Providence Little Company of Mar y Medical Center Torrance has been recognized for two years in a row as one of the World 's Best Hospitals.
