Our energy-usage plan employs a systemwide approach to curbing usage. Water efficiency is essential, as well, since more than half of our facilities are in areas identified by the USDA as at risk for drought. In 2023, we completed water audits at eight of our Oregon facilities, resulting in new projects aimed at safely reducing our water usage and our impact on the environment. n PROGRESS BY THE NUMBERS + 1 large-scale LED lighting retrofit project initiated, paid for in part through utility grants and cost savings from more efficient lightbulbs + 30 energy profiles completed in Washington ministries, as required by the Clean Buildings Act + 3 energy assessments completed in two hospitals and a long-term care facility in the Spokane, Wash., area + 42% improvement in energy efficiency in our Mill Creek Medical Office Building in Everett, Wash., by replacing air handling units + 8 water audits completed in Oregon facilities Caregivers review energy use data at Providence St. Mary Medical Center in Apple Valley, CA.
