Physicians: Saying goodbye to a physician leader
Dr. Del Vicario retired from Providence Little Company of Mar y after 46 years of
practice at Little Company of Mar y. A true pioneer and leader in cardiac care,
as well as a par tner with the philanthropic mission of the Foundation, his legacy
will be carried on through the Del Vicario Cardiovascular Center of Excellence.
2021 Caregiver Engagement Survey - Chief Executive
Caregiver Experience Advisory Council
Each year we ask caregivers to complete a Caregiver Engagement Sur vey
to help us determine what we are doing well and identify areas we need to
improve. In response to the Caregiver Engagement Sur vey results in 2020,
the Chief Executive Caregiver Experience Advisor y Council was formed to
address the areas of oppor tunity identified in the sur vey. The council has 40
frontline caregivers (listed to the right) who were nominated by their peers
and/or leaders. The council members are responsible for developing actions to
address concerns identified in the Caregiver Engagement Sur vey and any other
issues/concerns raised by caregivers. Based on recommendations from the
caregiver advisor y council, Little Company of Mar y debuted the first Caregiver
newsletter, In Good Company, to ensure that all caregivers are kept informed
about the work of the council, provide follow up from previous Caregiver
Experience sur veys, and highlight the latest news, updates and events taking
place at both our ministries.
I am pleased to repor t that the work of the Chief Executive Caregiver
Experience Advisor y Council paid off and our 2021 sur vey results were
outstanding. Not only did the 2021 sur vey have a record number of caregivers
complete it (72.5%), but we also saw the Caregiver Highly Engaged score
increase by 10 points at San Pedro and 2 points at Torrance. These results
reflect the work by the Caregiver Experience council members.
