The Community Board provides leadership in operational per formance, strategic development, and oversight of the San Pedro
and Torrance ministries. The Community Board works with and repor ts through the chief executive. This group has responsibility,
accountability, and authority for:
• Quality management and per formance improvement
• Appointments, reappointments, suspension and termination
of membership and clinical privileges for the medical staff
• Medical Staff Bylaws, Rules, Regulations, and Policies
• Medical Staff Issues
• Patient, staff, and caregiver safety
• Chief Executive Evaluation
