Chief Executive Caregiver Experience Advisory Council Updates
Our San Pedro ministr y saw a 10-point increase (50% to
60%) in its Highly Sustainable Engagement score and our
Torrance ministr y saw an increase of 2 points (55% to 57%).
I think it 's important to note that the average score across
all 51 ministries in our health system was 50%. Amazing
results!!!!
This year the Chief Executive Caregiver Experience Advisor y
Council will focus on the areas listed below that were
identified as opportunities for improvement based on the
2021 Caregiver Engagement survey results:
• Continuing to make sure our caregivers' work resonates
with our Mission
• Ensuring that all caregivers feel safe in their working
environment
• Breaking down any barriers caregivers may experience
while tr ying to discuss errors and bring for ward concerns
they may have about ethical issues.
• Feeling supported in their environment (team, direct
supervisor, leadership, and executive leadership)
• Working as well-coordinated teams
• Follow up from the last survey
I need ever yone's help in providing me and/or your Chief
Executive Caregiver Experience Advisor y Council member
with ideas on how we can improve in the areas listed above.
It 's also important to note that each council member is
responsible for bringing for ward and helping to address
any other issues/concerns caregivers may have that are
not related to the above focus areas. So please get to know
your Chief Executive Caregiver Experience Advisor y Council
members so your voice is heard or email me directly at
Garry.Olney@providence.org.
As Mother Bernard Gosselin, Foundress of the Sisters of St.
Joseph of Orange said, "God will give you something special
to do that God won't ask of anyone else, so pay attention."
Our Chief Executive Caregiver Experience Advisory Council
is a great way for us to pay attention in a special way to the
voices of our caregivers.
Best,
Garr y Olney
