Dear Caregivers,
It is with utmost gratitude that I thank all 40 caregivers (20 each from San
Pedro and Torrance) who were nominated by their peers and/or leaders to
become a member of the Chief Executive Caregiver Experience Advisory
Council member in 2021. The Chief Executive Caregiver Experience Advisory
Council is a forum for caregivers to have a voice to share concerns and
recommendations to improve our ministry. The advisory council is also tasked
with developing actionable steps to address the feedback that caregivers
provide when taking the annual Providence Caregiver Engagement Survey, and
to help address other issues and concerns brought forward by our caregivers.
Our goal is to have frontline caregivers
collaborate and serve with me as
champions in engaging our caregivers
by ensuring their voice and experience at
work is the best it can be, and that they,
like our patients we serve, are cared for in
alignment with our Providence Promise.
The council members have done an
outstanding job representing our core
values with the Mission at the forefront in
all our discussions.
The hard work of the Chief Executive
Caregiver Experience Advisor y Council
paid off this past year as evidenced by
the improvement in our yearly Providence
Caregiver Engagement Survey scores
and the participation rate (73% of our
caregivers responded to the survey).
