It pumps and oxygenates a patient 's blood outside the body, allowing the heart and lungs to rest • Purchase of an upgraded entertainment system for the Pediatrics Unit (replacing the old VHS) Philanthropic Success The Providence Little Company of Mar y Foundation is the fundraising arm of our medical centers, whose goal is to raise philanthropic gifts to help us maintain our margin of excellence. These gifts help to acquire new equipment, renovate and upgrade facilities, and support the professional development of our nurses; and this year, provided $5M in vital support to our COVID-19 pandemic response. • The Foundation exceeded annual projections and fundraising targets despite the challenges of COVID-19 and financial market instabilities.
