"We SHARE" encapsulates our approach to environmental leadership
through service, health, advocacy, relationships and education. Within
Providence, we advocate for climate policies that protect vulnerable
communities through government affairs, partnerships and leadership.
Building trusted relationships helps us promote health while inspiring
others to adopt environmentally responsible practices.
+ Providence Center for Environmental Stewardship was launched. The
virtual platform shares our initiatives and a resource library.
+ 100% of hospitals now have Green Teams. Using the Green Team
Toolkit, caregivers educate, engage and advocate for operational changes.
+ 55 Environmental Excellence awards were received from Practice
Greenhealth.
+ 4 Providence hospitals were named among the nation's Top 25 by
Health Care Without Harm.
+ 100% of Providence acute care facilities received The Joint
Commission's Sustainable Healthcare Certification.
