CLOSING REFLECTION:
A look towards the future
Reflecting on the progress of our work in 2024, I am inspired by Providence's nearly 170-year
legacy of innovation and action, which continues to guide our path forward in environmental
stewardship. Looking ahead, we will continue to work toward our 2030 carbon reduction goals,
while also recognizing the need to reinforce our climate resilience in the decades to come.
We see immense opportunities to enhance our efforts in building climate resilience within our
facilities, clinical practices, and communities. By increasing knowledge, investment and focus in
these areas, we can ensure the communities we serve thrive, even amidst environmental changes, enabling people
to lead full and healthy lives.
Partnerships play a crucial role in this journey. By collaborating with local partners, government entities, and industry
leaders, we will leverage collective resources and increase our impact. As we have for more than a century and a half,
we will work together for a future that promises resilience, connection and strength.
