To support healthy and equitable communities, we intentionally seek out diverse, inclusive suppliers and transformative procurement opportunities in all areas of our organization. n PROGRESS BY THE NUMBERS + 12% of our $6.69 billion in supplier spending was with small and diverse businesses in 2023 + 4,476 small and diverse businesses supported + 33% increase in spending with diverse suppliers compared to 2022 Certification outreach In 2023, Providence collaborated with SupplierGateway to launch the Enhanced Digital Certification (EDC) Outreach program, which helps suppliers obtain third-party diversity certification at no cost to them. Third-party verification as a diverse supplier is a valuable differentiator that can help our suppliers increase their business. Supplier development Providence supported continuing education and business development opportunities for qualified diverse suppliers.
