We are honoring eight caregivers (below) from our San Pedro and Torrance ministries who were selected by a committee of their peers to receive this prestigious recognition. More than 60 individuals were nominated. We will hold a special ceremony in 2021 to recognize each of them. Catholic Health Association Ministry Fidelity Assessment The Catholic Health Association conducts a Ministr y Fidelity Assessment ever y few years to determine the extent to which the values and commitments of Catholic identity are lived out in our ministries. It 's a formal process to assess policies, procedures, existing data, and anecdotal evidence of our living the mission within our ministries. The assessment process includes feedback from our caregivers and members of our community. We had a formal kick-off in September 2020 to commence the assessment for the Southern California Region. We will publish the results upon the conclusion of the assessment. Angel Gowns of South Bay Providence Little Company of Mar y supports Angel Gowns of South Bay. This inspiring group of volunteers use donated wedding gowns to make beautiful burial gowns, or wraps, for infants to help ease the suffering of parents who have lost their children before, during, or shortly after birth. They also support Providence TrinityCare Hospice pediatric patients by making gowns specially designed for children in hospice care. The gowns are fun, comfortable, and more dignified than a traditional hospital gown but still provide ease of medical access for the caregivers.
