13 Meet Your Leadership teaM Matt Chandler Executive DIrector Operations, San Pedro Matt joined Providence Little Company of Mar y in August of 2020; However, he previously served with our sister ministr y, St. Mar y Medical Center in Apple Valley, CA, in various roles for five years. Matt earned his Doctorate of Pharmacy degree from the University of the Pacific in Stockton and his Master in Business Administration from the Pennsylvania State University. He began his healthcare career as a clerk at a local pharmacy and has since held various roles in healthcare organizations as a clinical pharmacist, Director of Pharmacy, Ancillar y Service- line leader, and executive leader. Matt and his wife Grace grew up across the street from each other. They are blessed with three sons ages 23, 10, and 7 -- even their dog is a boy. They are all baseball fanatics and consider any day at the ballpark a great day. In his time off, Matt enjoys traveling, and coaching Pony League baseball. He can frequently be found at the local baseball park working with kids and having fun. The one thing Matt wants our caregivers to know is that although he is new to the South Bay, he feels that he has been called home. As a leader who is committed to continuous improvement, building strong and enduring relationships with caregivers to achieve amazing things together is what keeps his fire going. He wants ever y caregiver to know that he has an open door and will always make time to talk and get to know you.
