Mental Health Care The Covenant Community Outreach Counseling Program expands access to behavioral health services for low-income, uninsured, and vulnerable individuals across our region. Services are delivered in-person and via telehealth, extending care to Levelland, Plainview, and surrounding rural communities. Through partnership with Providence Well-Being Trust, Covenant hospitals supported mental health expansion grants for nonprofit partners across Texas and New Mexico. At Covenant Children's Hospital, the outpatient relational health unit ensures children and families receive timely, specialized behavioral care. The counseling internship program grew from two interns in 2022 to seven in 2025—expanding access while strengthening the future behavioral health workforce pipeline. Strength 2025 Behavioral Health Impact XX patients served 2,574 counseling sessions delivered 7 counseling interns contributing more than 3,000 hours to the Covenant Community Counseling Center $100k invested in Mental Health Access Grants by Providence Well-Being Trust (serving Lubbock and surrounding counties in West Texas and Easter New Mexico. Community Health Education Covenant's Community Health Education Program provides free outreach, group education classes, and community cooking sessions at trusted community locations including: Lubbock Impact Community Health Center of Lubbock South Plains Food Bank Lubbock Dream Center YWCA In 2025, a new navigation initiative launched to help uninsured individuals access care and connect to community resources—reducing avoidable emergency visits and strengthening continuity of care. Education & Access 35 class sesions held 228 participants reached 129 uninsured, underinsured, low-income individuals connected to care 101 engaged in process and connected with needed community resources 7% showed improved health knowledge (pre/post tests) in Community Expanding Access.
