17 Apricot Compote Ingredients Instructions Serving Size: 1/8 of recipe (about ½ cup); Calories: 180; Total Fat: 0 gm; Saturated Fat: 0 gm; Sodium: 10 mg; Total Carbohydrate: 46 gm; Protein: 1 gm With Yogurt and Walnuts: Serving Size: 1/8 of recipe (about ½ cup); Calories: 300; Total Fat: 1 gm; Saturated Fat: 0 gm; Sodium: 82 mg; Total Carbohydrate: 54 gm; Protein: 22 gm • 2 cups dried apricots (no added sugar) • 4 cups water • 1 cup sugar • 1 cinnamon stick • 4 cardamon pods • Pinch of cinnamon powder • May garnish with Greek yogurt and walnuts 1. In a pot, combine water, dried apricots, sugar, cinnamon stick, and cardamon pods. 2. Bring the mixture to a boil. Then lower the heat and simmer for 20-25 minutes until the apricots are tender. 3. Remove from heat and allow the compote to cool down and then refrigerate. 4. Serve the compote cold with a pinch of cinnamon powder and may consider serving with a spoonful of plain Greek yogurt and walnuts.
