Study Overview
Objective: Develop a digital recording about HREM to
improve patient knowledge, reduce anxiety, increase
satisfaction, and lower procedure abortion rates.
Method: Video created by an interprofessional team,
tested in four cycles (Baseline, Workstation,
Manometry, Home).
Results:
• Knowledge increased significantly (60%-96%,
58%-96%, 79%-96%, 92%-97%).
• Anxiety reduced significantly (7.1-5.5, 7.6-6.1, 7.1-6.5,
6.4-6.1).
• High satisfaction (99.5% liked the video).
• Procedure abortion rates decreased from 8% to
2.6%.
Conclusion: The video effectively improved patient
outcomes and has potential for broader
implementation.
