Study Overview
Objective: Examine generational differences in nurse
burnout and turnover risk before and during COVID-19.
Key Findings:
• 2017: Boomers had lower fatigue and higher
recovery, less likely to leave jobs.
• 2021: Millennials had higher burnout, lower job
satisfaction, and highest turnover intentions.
Implications:
• Pandemic Impact: Increased stress and burnout,
especially for Millennials.
• Retention Strategies: Address generational
differences to improve nurse retention.
