• Patient care and safety: IV fluid orders, patient
weights, Quick Mobility Screen, Every Body Moves,
Pain audits, EPIC updates and features.
• Policy and Procedure: Hypoglycemia revision, Code
Compassion revision.
• Product updates: Positioning wedges, and chest
tube drainage.
• Maintained a less than 1% hypoglycemia (BG<70 mg/dL) event
rate of total inpatient point of care glucose tests per month,
house-wide (of patients on insulin).
• DRT RNs performed hypoglycemia audits to identify
unit-specific trends and guide interventions.
• Identified need for Diabetes Navigator RN role, position filled.
