Our commitment to ESG, while longstanding, has evolved in the last few years and continues to advance as we meet the new challenges and expectations of our communities and stakeholders. We plan to continue enhancing our ESG governance and approach to ESG disclosures. Providence is governed by several bodies to hold our organization accountable to our commitment to ESG practices. Strong governance and oversight of our ESG efforts is a core commitment of our leadership team and is integrated and aligned with our business strategy. Members are appointed by the Sisters of Providence and Sisters of St. Joseph. The sponsors hold caregivers accountable to our Mission, vision and values. The Board oversees general risk management and approves strategic direction and major decisions. Providence has over 40 regional and local boards designed to hold local leaders accountable to safety standards, compliance and risk performance, community health improvement and community relations.
