These teams work across the Providence family of organizations to ensure that data privacy and and cybersecurity are embedded in our systems, processes and culture. DATA PRIVACY The Providence Privacy Office, a department of Compliance Services, has oversight and governance of the organization's privacy compliance function in relation to the use and disclosure of protected health information (PHI) and personally identifiable information (PII). Under the direction of the chief privacy officer, the privacy team is responsible for investigating all alleged privacy incidents and for providing guidance to key business functions across Providence to ensure the appropriate use and disclosure of information in compliance with state and federal laws and internal policies and procedures. CYBERSECURITY The Office of the Chief Information Security Officer provides strategic management of Providence's cybersecurity efforts. Taking care of patients includes securing their data and the devices used to deliver their care. By protecting patients' data, we ensure that Providence maintains their trust while providing high-quality care. Committed to the highest cybersecurity standards, the team delivers industry-leading protection of Providence's data, information and systems, so we can safely and effectively improve health and quality of life in our communities.
