INTRODUCTION ENVIRONMENTAL SOCIAL GOVERNANCE ABOUT US
HEALTH EQUITY
In 2020, Providence made a commitment to invest $50 million over
five years to improve health equity in our communities. This
investment has strengthened our ability to implement new health
equity programs, to enact new strategic priorities, and to deepen our
commitment to whole-person care as part of our social responsibility.
OUR 2023 STRATEGIC PRIORITIES INCLUDED:
• Introducing a 2024-2026 health equity strategic plan
• Continuing the Providence Health Equity Fellowship Program
• Reducing inequities in health care outcomes, access and experience
• Meeting or exceeding regulatory requirements for health equity
• Leveraging technology to scale the impact of our health equity efforts
• Strengthening access to Medicaid for people experiencing financial
difficulties
