Covenant Children's Weekend of Giving
Elevating Impact through Storytellers and Golf
Covenant Children's Weekend of Giving promised (and delivered!) an
unforgettable blend of entertainment and philanthropy. The 22nd Annual
Storytellers event, coupled with a premier golf tournament, aimed to
generate impactful funds in support of Covenant Children's integrative care
programming.
Returning to chair this year's event were Texas Tech head football coach
Joey McGuire and his wife Debbie, embodying a commitment to community
welfare and healthcare excellence.
Storytellers: An Evening of Harmony and Giving
Commencing the weekend festivities on Friday, May 3, Storytellers delivered
a night of musical enchantment featuring Sara Evans and songwriter Jeff
Trott. The event kicked off at the Knipling Education & Conference Center on
the Covenant Medical Center campus, providing a picturesque backdrop for
an unforgettable night.
Chip In for Children: Celebrity Golf Tournament
On May 6, the focus shifted to the Lubbock Country
Club, which hosted 22 golf teams, each boasting a
celebrity guest as their fifth member. This premiere golf
tournament not only promised a day of competitive
golf but also served as a platform for camaraderie and
community engagement.
Presenting Sponsor: First United Bank
The Weekend of Giving would not have been possible
without the generous support of its Presenting Sponsor,
First United Bank. Their commitment underscored the importance of
collaboration between the corporate and healthcare sectors in fostering
community well-being.
Covenant Children's Weekend of
Giving is not just an event; it's a
testament to the power of collective
giving, where the community
comes together to make a lasting
impact on the lives of children
receiving integrative care at
Covenant Children's. Thank you to
all who joined us in this celebration
of compassion, harmony, and
philanthropy.
