Covenant Health Plainview will now offer free birthing
doula services to new mothers! We're thrilled to
welcome Certified Birth Doulas Mindy Morris and
Courtney Harper to our Women's Services team.
Doula services offer invaluable support to birthing
mothers before, during, and after childbirth,
providing physical, emotional, and informational
assistance.
Overall, doula services play a significant role in
enhancing the childbirth experience, promoting
maternal autonomy, and supporting the physical and emotional well-being of birthing
mothers. By providing personalized, holistic care, doulas contribute to positive birth
outcomes and empower mothers to have fulfilling and empowering birth experiences.
South Plains Food Bank Nourishment Room
Now Open at Covenant Children's
The South Plains Food Bank Family Nourishment Room at Covenant Children's is now
open to long-term patient families thanks to a generous donation from Wellpoint (formerly
Amerigroup Financial).
The SPFB Family Nourishment Room is designed exclusively for the families of neonatal
intensive care unit (NICU) patients. It will provide families with 24-hour access to healthy
and nutritious food options during their baby's stay, which can be critical for the recovery
and development of NICU patients.
The room will be stocked with fresh produce, whole
grains, lean protein, and other nutrient-rich food
items, as well as snacks and beverages to help
families stay full and energized.
