2 | Health Matters: Providence St. Joseph Hospital Letter to the Community A s we celebrate the 50th anniversary of our successful Kidney Transplant Center, we feature in this issue the remarkable story of a transplant patient and the lengths to which our caregivers went to get him his new kidney. And I'm pleased to announce that very soon we'll be adding the ability to perform pancreas transplants to our program. Simultaneous kidney-and-pancreas transplant can be truly life- changing. Dialysis and insulin therapy are no longer needed; effectively that means our patients are no longer diabetic. This is a transformative moment for our program and our patients. For our neighbors in Tustin and Irvine, we're happy to announce that a new clinic has opened in Irvine! Our medical staff physicians have long had offices in Irvine, and we're happy to expand our presence in the community. The state-of-the-art clinic is located in the Market Place. We're excited to bring expanded convenient, compassionate health care to the community. With eight on-site physicians available, our clinic will provide pediatric and adult primary care, obstetrics and gynecology, dermatology and other health services. Visit us at the Market Place at 13400 Jamboree Rd., Suite 200, Irvine, CA 92602. I also wanted to give an update on the Helen Caloggero Women's and Family Center medical office building currently under construction. Even with the recent rain, we are on track and scheduled to open in early 2024. We are truly excited about this new building, which will offer a host of services for the entire family in one convenient location. This is an exciting time to be part of the St. Joseph Hospital family as we continue to expand and enhance the health and well-being of our community. Jeremy S. Zoch, PhD, MHA, FACHE, Chief Executive Providence St. Joseph Hospital
